I will be applying to law school in the fall and I had a question as to whether something would help my resume. I would like to attend a liberal Ivy league-caliber (Yale, Harvard, Duke) law school but I lean to the right on most political issues. I was wondering if starting a blog with a rightward lean would boost my resume or if admission counselors would discard me because of my politics or because blogs are tacky on resumes? |

GPA is more of an essence for the stated schools. Get three letters of rec. from prominent, preferrably, law professors. |

Top law schools rely on GPA + LSAT for about 90% of the screening. They don't really care much about extra-curriculars, unless they are fabulous and law/government-related (e.g., nation-wide head of the College Republicans) So: focus on the LSAT. That's the best thing to do. Regards, M. |
