I have changed jobs and moved from California to Washington on Feb 18th, 2004.

My new employer ( located in Washington ) paid me relocation money on
joining date ( Feb 23rd ,2004) , but due to the fact that I had
California Address in W2 , I paid California State tax(almost 1000$)
on the relocation money.

Since I did not reside in California since Feb 18th, Can I claim that
1000$ back in tax ? Or Can I just avoid showing Relocation money as
California Wage? What forms should I file to get my money back ?

I hope I am clear in describing my situation. I should not have paid
California Tax on my relocation money as I was not in California.

Thanks in advance
