Based on the information found here
http://www.tangibilities.com/Bed.html and the additional photos found
here http://www.tangibilities.com/Bedpics.html, who manufactured this
nineteenth century American four-poster bed?
Construction techniques and design may suggest Philadelphia, but
we are looking for images of similar beds with known provenance or
authoritive attribution that will tell us the manufacturer of
this bed or its place of manufacture.
We require an answer that will contain pictures or catalogue
illustrations depicting attributable turning and carving of the type
found on the bedposts here and depicting the same headboard carving
elements.
We ask for references to book pages, web pages, auction house or
gallery catalogues, and to holdings by museums or historic homes.
Thank you.
