Good evening jimbell-ga and thank you for your question.
It is rather hard to give the ?best? as an answer in any type of
question as ?best? is a matter of opinion. However, I can supply you
with the names of two companies, one with 18 years experience and one
with 40 years experience in piano restoration.

Jimbell - I contacted the owner of the Seattle Piano Gallery as to her
opinion of your piano and also asked about the experience of her
comapny/workers. This was her reply:
" Have your client call us and we will put him together with Jim Flood
our refinisher who has over 20 years experience with all types of
woods and finishes.
We can happily do the work, but is a 1920's Settegren (we know the
brand and have one currently in our shop to be rebuilt) worth the cost
to strip, repair and refinish. The cost, if in a closed grain finish,
would be over $4000 just for that aspect.
A piano that age probably needs new strings, hammers, dampers, etc.
This could add another $4000 or more.....
Unless the Settegren is an heirloom, I would vote he buy another piano.
Thanks again!
Arnie Tucker, owner
206-714-3512"
Please feel free to give her a call with any questions you might have
and good luck!
