I am looking for an excellent graphic designer to create a logo for my
business. I have struck out with two different graphic designers who
don't seem to understand what I'm looking to achieve. Also, where can
I find  websites where I can create my own logos for free?

veer.com has a thing called a lightbox where you can mock up your
logo.  However, they have copyright over the images and fonts and you
will need to y for it.

Just use MS paint or photoshop and work your magic there.

Depending on your business, consider www.fusemarketing.com for graphic
design work.  They don't do work for free, but then again, something
as important as your company logo may not be something you want to do
yourself for free.  Also, www.monitorpremiums.com specializes in
promotional products and can do some design as part of those services.

A good logo comes from a good brief.  Tell the design what you want
and they should delivery that.  Online logo creation is just clip art,
stay clear.  Try an agency like Creation in the UK,
