Assuming MS Office 2003 and Mac Office vX or 2004.

There is a handy and fairly easy function in Office 2003 whereby an
Excel file can be published to the web and interacted with there. Some
permissions to view / view&edit are administratable.

I would like Mac user to be able to access such published files. I
have found references saying it can't be done. Is there a way?

Thank you myexpertsonline & tindero for the suggestions.
I had missed that Mactopis link, but it "seems" to be talking about
simply posting the Excel as a viewable page, rather than making it
available for viewers to edit. It says to see Excel Help for that,
which I'll review again since even this entry was new to me.

So, to clarify, I definitely need to be able to post the Excel to an
ftp or other place and be able to selectively allow users to view or
edit & view.

Thanks again for taking time to comment and help.

That should have been "Mactopia".
(I don't think it was Freudian...)

I'm sure I'll get hell for it, but you could try asking your question over here:

It's a pretty specific question that likely requires some dialog with
other Mac/Excel users. You might be able to get that dialog going over
there.
