To avoid getting spammed from forums and groups, open a free web based
e-mail account, such as Hotmail, or Yahoo. Don?t use your e-mail as
your screen name, and use only your free e-mail account for signing up
with forums and groups. For example, if your email address is
fengshui@domain.com, don?t use fengshui as your screen name on a group
or forum. This will decrease the amount of spam you may get.
There are numerous Feng shui groups on Google Groups

Hi, Just wanted to clarify one thing.
Other than the online schools there are no affiliate programs right?
"...really like to have a listing of any affiliate programs for
feng shui, especially for online resources..."
Impressive list, lots of great info. Do you researches have a spam
free look at the search engines or something? (joking) Appreciative
of the help.

Hi again eWalters,
Could you clarify a bit what 'affiliates' are? I looked for the
term, but came up with "spam" sites. I'm afraid I'm not sure what you
mean by the term.
Regarding your loathing of SPAM (That we all share), how are you
bothered by it? Perhaps I can share some secrets, if you could briefly
elaborate on how you are affected.
Sincerely, Crabcakes

Hi again,
Ok, breakdown of an affiliate - an affiliate is someone that sells
someone elses product on a commission of that sale. In other words if
you had a electric shop and I was your affiliate and I introduced a
customer to you who bought a drill from you, you would pay me a
commission on the sale of that drill.
Regarding the spam I just meant that I'd only found a lot of directory
generated sites and not a lot of content whilst you managed to find a
good deal of content in a reasonably short time frame. I was
wondering if there was a "james bond" (ie secret trick or access code)
google answers researchers had to cut through (or completely out)
results of this nature.
Thanks for the help!

Hi again, Ewalters,
We Google Researchers all have our own searching techniques to avoid
the SPAMMIER sites. I personally use operators like the minus sign (-)
to decrease chances of getting sites I don't want.
Example: If I want information on vitamins, but I don't want to buy
them, I may use this in the search box:
vitamins -buy -affiliate -discount
Buy, affiliate and discount are words often found on sites selling
vitamins. The operators help reduce this type of return.
Here is a page on searching Google
://www.google.com/help/refinesearch.html
Another thing I do to avoid smarmy sites is; as soon as I see flashing
"thingies" and odd looking web page design, I leave that site. I look
for reliable and trustworthy sites.
We are now on the same page regarding 'affiliates'. In the world of
the internet, affiliates are sometimes construed as SPAM sites!
Now, on to affiliates. Here is a list. (I would exercise caution
before committing to an affiliate):

Master Academy will have an affiliate program... one day

I hope this has helped!
