Hi dokimble,

According to the Department of Statistics for the Government of
Singapore, the latest census taken was in 2000, with the total number
of expatriates at 596,108.

See here:

Please let me know if this is sufficient as an answer to your question.

Best regards,
Rainbow

I would like the total expatriate population broken down by the number
of Americans, Brits, Australians, Japanese, Koreans, Indians, Thais,
etc. who are residing in S'pore.

The numbers from the Joshua Project are suspicious. Most estimates
that I've seen for the number of Americans in S'pore are in the
neighborhood of 20k and Australian expatriates at around 15k for
instance.
