We are looking for reliable and inexpensive firms to design and
manufacture a high-quality, small-sized compass.  We would prefer a
single firm that could do both the design and the manufacturing, but
if no such firm exists, separate design and manufactuing firms will be
acceptable.  We would prefer to work with firms in the New York
metropolitan area if possible--particularly for the design work.  More
importantly, we need an inexpensive firm that will manufacture a small
number of prototypes.  The cheaper the better, even if we have to look
outside NY or even overseas (particularly for manufacturers).   We
would want to consult with designers on the look of the compass face;
and the manufacturer would have to be able to construct the compass
with a custom orientation. Can you find us a firm or firms to work
with? Two to five options would be ideal.
