i'm looking for a COMPLETE timeline of all points in the last century
that the US has imposed economic sanctions again china. (for instance,
in 1989, the US imposed such sanctions in retaliation for Tiananmen
square & human rights; and in 1991, to discourage china's nuclear
proliferation). i need to know (1) when (the precise date) the
sanctions began and ended,
(2) the main reason why the sanctions were imposed, (3) and if
possible, whether there was speculation that such sanctions would be
imposed prior to their actually being imposed (eg, perhaps rumors in
the press, etc.)
