I want to know if exists a software (free or reasonably cheap) to
"watermarking" in invisible way photos (e.g. JPEG and TIF, possibly
16bit). Possibly for Windows 2000; I can use Linux, but for my
workflow I'd prefer do all in Windows.
I know the solution of Digimarc (bundle in Photoshop, for example) but
I cannot pay every year for the service, nor I need a service like
'spidering' in the Web to search my photos. |

I have read the tutorial. I don't use GIMP, for my work almost every
day I use Photoshop. Tomorrow I'll try to reproduce all on Photoshop
(it seems possible, seeing quickly the tutorial), otherwise I'll
download GIMP and try to make the procedure in the same way of the
tutorial.
I'll say something tomorrow.
Thanks

The tutorial states, "The program used to exemplify is Adobe
Photoshop...", so you should be all set. Good luck! hummer

Hi,
I try to do with Photoshop, and it works.
So, I am substantially satisfied from your answer.
---
By the way, I wonder if it is possible to do the same with stegano methods.
What do you think about this ? (You are free to answer or not, in
any case I repeat I am substantially satisfied from your first answer).

Hi bbujani,
I'm glad to hear the tutorial worked for you! Thanks for letting me know.
I'm not an expert on steganography, but I would think that you're
going to have to buy steganography software to take invisible
watermarking a step further. There is a list of software here:
