Need assistance with identifying equipment for building an in-room wireless/wired LAN network for hotel customers (120 guest rooms, 12'X 24' in size). Since the rooms are of solid concrete construction, I thought a HomePlug, Wireless Bridges or internet-access using the existing power lines might be the best option, cost-affordable solution. The 120 block of rooms have a dedicated electrical system including a main breaker. Features for system: Stability of Network Easy Installation Transmit data at 802.11B (or higher) rates Router Compatibile with DSL from ISP(BellSouth), electrical powerlines, Remote Access and Wifi adaters/bridges Thank you for your assistance |

I have spent a good chunk of time researching this issue in order to expand service range. HomePlug idea is vital but almost all the devices are home and not business oriented. But I found a US manufacturer that has developed an afordable solution that can handle upto 380 nodes. I had extensive consultations but have not tested it yet, I would gladly cooperate with somebody to test it. Regards |
