Question ID: 542987
I am an Indian exporter of surgical and medical products. I am wanting
to start business in the Eastern European region. Where can I find
business opportunities (trade leads) from this region? Contact details
of trade commissions of these countries. Which are the countries in
this block where registration of surgical and medical products
(including medicines) is not required? I also, would like to know the
contact details of agents/distributors who can get business for me
from this region. The countries I am wanting to do business are
Slovakia Hungary Slovenia Bosnia and Herzegovina
Poland Czech Republic Croatia Serbia Bulgaria Romania Albania
Estonia Latvia Lithuania Belarus Kaliningrad Ukraine Moldova

The first step would be to classify these countries into three groups:

members of EU, candidates and others.

I can help you with that,
and get you some data on EU rules for such imports.

To provide the list of agents in all those countries,
whould have to be another question (probably higher priced, too)

Are you interested in such limited data as an answer?

Greetings. I will not need the classification of the countries as my
area of operations will be limited to non-EU countries.I am looking to
do business in countries where registration of medicines and surgical
disposables is not required. What I seek is the sources of trade leads
(oppurtunities) from these countries. Is my question priced
accordingly?

Hi, again,
you say you want be "limited to non-EU countries"
but you include countries which are in EU, such as

Poland Czech Republic Estonia Latvia Lithuania ..,

 and

Kalingrad (sandwiched between Lithuania and Poland) is actually part
of Russia, not a country..

That's why I suggested classification first, to formulate a question
which can be researched.. Of course, you may google that yourself
(that is not to dificult) and save $50. You could then expire this
question and post a
new one(s) .

Indpendently of EU, registration of surgical and medical products is a
common requirement in European countries. So before asking for list of
agents, you
need to determine if any countries fit into your scope.

Pricing is OK for clasification only. For finding agents, I would suggest
to split it in sepaparate questions, of $50-100 each, one for each country
you will pick.

I would not want to research all of those countries, just those I know,
(country and language). Of course, some other researcher may be more
skilled and would take on whole list (That I would consider $200 question).

Have you consider leads via the Indian embassies or export trade associations?

Here is a site that seems to have all the Embassies. On the site for
Croatia there are links to Croatian imports. I found one seeking
surgical gloves, who might be closer to the market for your goods:

I would hope that the commercial attache/consul could help answer
questions about registration of medical equipment.

Good luck, Myoarin
