I need a list of companies (at least 3) that can provide a US carrier
lookup service for about 300 lookups a day.

It needs to work like this:
I will provide the mobile phone number and they need to respond with
the name of the current carrier.
Because of number portability (you can take your phone number with you
if you switch carriers), this data lookup needs to be updated at least
once every month if not more frequently and the method to do the
lookups has to be online and take only a few seconds per query.

The large carriers (verizon, t-mobile, and others) will probably not
work because they only deal with other large companies.

It should be priced below 5 cents a lookup with minimal startup fees.

I do not know about sign up costs or per usage costs.

Thanks for your suggestion. However, while they appear to offer
caller-id and reverse lookup, there is no mention about providing the
carrier name. Also they do not mention number portability
which is a big issue for companies that provide carrier identification.
