Hello- I have an Oriental Rug I bought from a friend. He said he paid over $3000 for it brand new about 20 years ago. I am trying to identify the maker and current value of the rug. It is a Hand cut oriental rug, which means the carpet was made, then fabric cut out to make the scences, and is not symmetrical as most rugs are, but has an asian inspired theme of brown dragons along a deep blue trim, and various scences from life such as gardens, boats, people etc. The only identification on the rug I can find is the red number 7928 on the lining trim. If you know the maker and/or value of the rug, it would be of great help. Please do not just give me a site to go to or something. Thanks |
