Greetings Valdimar,
Good news! Dean and DeLuca in Georgetown carry Schweppes Bitter Lemon
"in the little bottles." I phoned (202) 342-2500 and spoke with a
lovely lady named Frances. She informed me that they currently have a
couple of cases (and they regularly stock it) AND she said she'd give
a discount of 10% if a case is purchased. When I asked her name, she
gave me it and that of a man named frank - she also said to come
before 6 p.m. if possible (I supposed that is to be sure the discount
is applied.

I discovered Dean and DeLuca had it when I located this on the web:
"I've been playing with some new cocktails. Dean & DeLuca had a
couple of cool items - chiefly bottles of "original" Schweppes Bitter
Lemon, imported from London. I remember this from my youth, and the
"original" tastes different from what is sold in the U.S. by
Schweppes. The American version is less bitter, but then what's the
point. The British version is aces, and is so good with a little
Campari and a slice of orange, which is one version I mixed."

I then searched Dean and DeLuca in Washington, and phoned to confirm
they had it. Enjoy! :)
