I want to make a VPN connection, but when I make a connection through
WINXP, the computers do not see, find, or communicate to each other,
but the connection is active. Please help me bridge my networks.

Clarification of Question by longphone2000-ga on 14 Jul 2005 18:20 PDT
I have a winxp vpn server set up though the os that accepts incomming
connections. Then I use a winxp computer off the local network, and
use it as a client vpn. I do make the connection, as the server says
one client connected, but I am not able to see the clients computer,
nor is the client able to see the server's hard drive shares. Is there
a way to make this work. I am using a cable connection on both ends
with the server directly connected to the modem, and the client is
connected to a linksys router.

Given that you have provided practically no specifics, this type of
question may be better asked at a technology forum. It would be hard
to just answer this question with some good Googling. You will likely
need to provide significantly more information and have a dialog with
people who are experienced with networking before your issue is
resolved. I suggest checking out that Ars Technica forums
(http://episteme.arstechnica.com/), specifically the Networking
Matrix. Try to include as much information as you know about your
situation in your initial posting to save time and keep people from
having you to do so.
