I would recommend allofmp3.com. This site offers more than 300,000 tracks (or so they say!) but I must admit they do have one of the widest selections of any online music store that I have come across. One of the great features of this site however is that you can not only choose your desired file format (e.g. MP#, WMA, OGG etc.) but also the encoding bitrate. In addition, as a registered member you can listen to the FULL track (at 24 kbps) prior to ordering. This is a feature offered by few competing sites. Tracks are priced according to size, format and bitrate with a 4 minute MP3 track at 192 kbps costing about US$0.10. The site can be accessed from any jurisdiction and all major credit cards are accepted. The minimum payment is US$10. According to the legal information available on the website, the company "pays license fees for all the materials subject to the Law of the Russian Federation". Like you, I am based in Asia so am unable to purchase tracks from iTunes but allofmp3.com is arguably an even better alternative. The choice of file formats is a major plus. Most importantly, I have encountered no problems with online payments and have received no spam whatsoever as a result of signing up for the service. And no, I have absolutely no financial interest in the site. I am simply a satisfied customer! |

I should add to the above that there have been several recent articles regarding the legality of sites such as allofmp3.com. If you are concerned, I would suggest that you check out the following: http://www.museekster.com/allofmp3faq.htm#Is%20using%20Allofmp3%20legal? |

Get a credit card with a billing address based in either the US or Canada and have the card based in US or CAN fund and send the payments over to a friend who lives there..... I dunno, you might as well buy the CD... |

I do not see any problems. Find any websites that provide legal download for music, and contact your internet buying agent for Indonesia: http://www.cendrawasih.com They will help you to register you to any websites that can be paid by any credit cards, and you just transfer your money to local banks, such as BCA, BII, etc. |
