How did James P. Corwin die on September 25, 2001 in Corona, California?

The best way to obtain a cause of death without directly contacting
the family or reading about it in a newspaper article is to obtain the
coroner's report (aka medical examiner's report).  There are two parts
to a report:

1. Coroner's Register: this includes all of the biographical
information, a history of the case, and witnesses; and

2.  Necropsy Report: a multiple page report with autopsy details.

I contacted the Riverside County Coroner's office in CA and spoke to
them about how to obtain the coroner's report.  I was told that in
order to obtain certified copies of the Medical Examiner's records,
you need to send a written request with the decedents name and date of
death along with a SASE envelope  to:

Riverside  County Sheriff/Coroner
800 South Redlands Avenue 
Perris, CA  92570

Be sure to nclude a check or money order for $15.00 made out to the
Riverside  County Sheriff/Coroner.  Reports will be mailed as soon as
they are available.

Recorder's Office or post your query to a message board for Riverside
County (California) on www.rootsweb.com and ask someone to see if an
obituary notice is available.

for the last name, and september 2001 for the year, and you will find
that he was in the newspaper on the 28th
