I drive a 2001 Toyota Tundra. Bought it new. It only has around 25,000 miles on it at this time. It was due for the 48 month maintenance in mid-June but my schedule just has not allowed me to take it in as of yet. My question: How strict is Toyota regarding the maintenance schedule in regard to preserving the warranty? If I bring my truck in sometime this month, will the warranty still be in tact? Thanks! |

I do not own a Toyota currently, but from my experience warranties can be quite strict about enforcing their rules. If a problem came up that was related to the service you may have missed, this can and has often in the past been used as grounds to deny coverage for the problem. Your warranty may be different, but I can tell you that my current new car warranty says all scheduled service must be completed within 30 days or 1,000 miles of the schedule. I would call Toyota customer service to get your answer and make sure you record the name of the person you speak with. The dealership service department may or may not give you totally accurate information. |
