Hi,

I've been to IRC back in the late 80's and now I have a thing to go
back to it.. but I can't seem to remember a thing. :-)

I've downloaded the same tool I used, mIRC, and registered my nickname
with a password and that's about it.

I would like to know what I should know as a priority and then answer
the following questions:

1. I would like to know in general in a separate screen a sort of
resolution of the IP's of the people in the room.

2. How can I make sure my IP is not abused or my presence in a room isn't abused?

3. How can I have people get pointed to a text which gives them an
idea of who I am.. a profile in other words?

4. In terms of Bots, where would one find the best ones out there and
reviews perhaps and ones which might be not free?

5. How would one go about finding the right soft of folks of matching interests?

6. Would like a bot that explains the commands I see being sent by
channel managers/OPs and explains the different messages as they come
in?

7. How do I close these generic and 'spam' private messages that
invite me to adult content?

Please consider I'm lazy and I believe in automation and enjoying the
getting to know people part, not the nerdy how it's done part.. I'm
too old for that now. :-)

Thank you.
