I'm trying to locate the singer/album of this one particular song.

I'm Coming Home is most probably the title of the song (or sounds like title).
The lyrics are about a guy coming back from the army/war (no blood)
Back to his gf/home - the song is about love.
The singer has a soft and impressive voice (younger sounding singer) -
and nice touching lyrics.
Could be considered similar to country song.

The song is Michael Buble's "Home," I think. You should be able to
find his CD on Amazon.com, entitled "It's Time."

My favorite "I'm Coming Home" line if from Pink Floyd's 'Hey You' song:
