Perhaps an increase in price might get a response. Often researchers shy away from questions that appear open-ended, or $2 questions that require more than a simple answer. |

I'm pretty sure that in egg retrieval only *some* of the woman's eggs are removed. So I would have to say that pregnancy is *possible*. The doctor may have meant that all of the *mature* eggs were removed, in which case the chances of pregnancy would be quite low until more eggs had time to mature. |

When the ovaries are hyper-stimulated to produce many follicles during the IVF process, there is also the chance that a mature follicle could have released eggs prior to retrieval. The chances of pregnancy, therefore, I would say are good, except for the circumstances which have placed this woman in the care of an RE in the first place (i.e. egg donor or infertility patient?). At any rate, it has happened before: Doctors Issue Alert Over Spontaneous Natural Conception While Undergoing IVF http://www.aphroditewomenshealth.com/news/20020311225335_health_news.shtml |
