1-MTD is by far the largest mfg. www.mtdproducts.com
2-Briggs & Startton aquired Simplicity, ferris, snapper , and just
purchased murray.
3-Electrolux Home products (formerly American Yard Products)- they
make Poulan, Weed eater, husqvarna, and produce most sears tractors
4-John Deere
5-Toro
Many smaller companys produce the commercial mowers- Exmark,
Grasshopper, dixie chopper, everride, scag, Husqvarna
