I would like to take a roadtrip from New York to Los Angeles on or
about August 2. I have temporarily been in NY, on leave from my job
in LA. Since I have been living in Manhattan for 1 year where I don't
need a car, I sold my cars when I came out here from Los Angeles. Now
I am going back but don't have a car but would like to make a
roadtrip. Is there anyone out there that would like their car driven
between these two cities (or nearby)?

I am 49 years old and an educator. Valid driver's license in
California with a perfect driving record.

I can suggest for a good place (or set of places) on the Web to post
this request. It's a place on which people often post similar
requests, and other people would likely be looking for such offers. I
can show you examples of such posts on which your might pattern your
request.

Would this be a sufficient answer?

Hello, telles-ga!
You might want to look into Autodrivaway. They are always looking for
individuals to transport cars from one destination to another. When I
was "much" younger, I drove a car for them from Atlanta to Portland,
Maine.

* Currently, they have a car that needs to be driven from Los Angeles
to Brooklyn (look under Los Angeles).
