First let me say that i know very little about programming. And what i do know I'm usually guessing. So if this sounds silly please forgive me.. This i kind of a multi phase question. We have a website program..We delivery alert posts thru a member login page that opens 2 seperate popup windows to post alerts in a running linear column format (http://www.prochartalert.com/alert/login.php)(temp login info: user>>temp ...password>>>5649xtgh) These alerts are set to refresh every 30 seconds..PHP format is what it is called i believe. We truly believe with the length of the columns and the number of alerts, the refreshing part of this program is a detriment to our users comfort..(scrolling thru to veiw previous alerts, refresh and have to start all over at the top) I have asked my programmer what we can do to change this format, and he says that the only way is to use a java based program..And he is not comfortable working with Java as he says he is not an expert..We love this guys work and professionalism and dedication to us We would hate to have to change programmers and would hate to have to go to the expense of rewritting all of our data.. So... Is there a way to use PHP and have popup windows not auto scroll when they refresh? OR Is there a way to format our PHP programs to java popups without rewriting our whole program??? I hope my questions are understandable. Thank you very anxious for answers... |
