We are Rainbow Writing, Inc. in Washington State. We have a client who
is an American soldier stationed in Iraq. While in Iraq, he wrote a
book that needs to be copyedited and prepared for publication. Our
questions are: we need to know his copyrights to the book concerning
that he is an American who wrote the book while in Iraq--how do Iraqi
copyrights laws apply, in other words; and also, he will be signing a
Contract with us regarding copyediting his work while he is stationed
in Iraq. In brief, he will need to sign the Contract with us in
America, with him being in Iraq. He will be signing in Iraq. What
Contract laws thus apply?
