Tom Wolfe, author of The Right Stuff and other such books, is often
seen in his white suit, his 'trademark' white suit, his white suit and
matching hat and umbrella blah blah blah.

What I want to know is what the suit is made of.

If there are multiple suits, then I guess I'd just like to know the
fabric(s) of the suit in which he appeared on the Time magazine cover
around the release of 'A Man in Full'.

A tip of at least one dollar is waiting for whoever unearths this
rather life-shattering info.

Hello bisonbison,

I feel confident that his suits are made of flannel. While the
article cited by pinkfreud mentions a "silk dinner jacket, also
white," both this article and two others refer to flannel as the suit
material.

Search strategy --

After trying various searches (for example: "tom wolfe" "white *
suit"), which simply led me to the same article found by pinkfreud, I
searched on Google for:

"tom wolfe" vincent nicolosi

Thanks.

Some sites say white flannel, while others say white linen:

Both flannel and silk are mentioned by Wolfe's tailor:

I was not able to learn the specifics of the suit on the Time magazine
cover. I hope another Researcher will be able to help.
