Hi dandy2697,

"Starbucks has a solid strategy in place to support continued growth
well into the future. In fiscal 2004, we opened 634 company-operated
and 710 licensed stores, bringing the total number of Starbucks stores
around the world to 8,569 as of October 3, 2004. Over the next fiscal
year, Starbucks plans to open an estimated 1,500 new locations
worldwide."

"Starbucks began turning its name into a household word not through
advertising but through word of mouth. In fiscal 2004, Starbucks
opened a record 1,344 stores worldwide. The once a small regional
roaster, Starbucks Coffee Company, now has more than 9,000 locations
in 34 countries serving approximately 20 million customers a week."
