A friend of mine wants to know the name of the instrumental theme on
new BP (British Petroleum) commercials and the name of the artist
playing it. I don't watch any TV, so I haven't seen or heard them,
but I feel confident that some GA researcher will know.

Thank you,

Older BP ads feature a theme adapted from Vivaldi. I couldn't find the
name of the theme music for the current ad campaign, but this post
from a South African marketing messageboard says the artist is Moby:

This post says BP uses a tune called 'Bang' by Badmarsh & Shri:

This article confirms that Badmarsh & Shri's 'Bang' is used in a BP commercial:

Without knowing precisely which commercial your friend may have seen,
I don't know how to proceed.

Thanks, Pink. I don't know either. I sent her the second link but
haven't heard back. Maybe she can supply more information. I wanted
to give her this answer as a present.
