Hi, I have a client and his computer running windows 98 had crashed. I put in a new hard drive and installed windows XP. I have put the old hard drive in a external hard drive enclosure and have connected it to the new hard drive with a USB cable. All the douments on the old hard drive are accessable and I have transfered most of them to the new hard drive. How can I get the desktop to show all the icons that were on the old hard drive on the desktop of the new hard drive. What I mean is that in windows XP if I go to C:----documents & settings----Admninistrator----Destop I would find all the icons on my desktop. How would i access this folder in windows 98. Thanks Daniel Bolour |

That is quite easy. Windows 95 and Windows 98 by default store all of the user icons in c:\windows\desktop. You can then copy all of the items (shortcuts and files) from that folder over to the current desktop. |
