I'm writing a paper for my Principles of E-biz class, and it needs to
be 2100 words min.
I have a general outline of what I want to include in the paper, but I
need more (in order to fulfill the word requirement).
1. Developing a Business Website Simulation
a. Run the simulation, then answer the following discussion questions
in a 2,100?2,800?word paper:
b. Summarize your marketing, marketing research, technology and
operational decisions.
1) To offer some features of the website, the manager must choose
between hiring a set of dedicated professionals (e.g., system
administrator, maintenance programmer, copywriter/editor, designer,
webmaster) and outsourcing these functions. If the manager makes the
human resource investment to hire the group of professionals, they
need to be fully utilized to help generate profits. How would you make
this decision, and how would it affect the selection of the package of
features you offer on the website?
2) In the ?custom advice through e-mail? feature, you had the choice
of offering it free or having the customer pay for each question
answered. Based on your choice, there were implications for revenue
and costs, perceived value of the service, and volume of questions.
What are the short-run and long-run implications for stock
transactions volume and profitability based on each of these options?
3) Prior to developing your website you will need to determine what
functionality your customers would like. Determine the type of market
research you will perform to elicit this information from your
customer-base.
4) Describe your e-marketing strategies for marketing your new
website. Why did you pick the ones you did?
Some features that I would want to include would be a 1 minute stock
ticker, search feature, FAQ's, online workshops, a customized advisory
service, online stock screening tools, volume based discounts, a
discussion board, free advice through email, and a weekly online chat,
as well as a newsletter.
What else do I need to include? Can anyone help me locate some
helpful resources? Thanks. |
