Hi!!

There is some traces of removed pests and some still present in your computer.

First of all download and install CleanUp!:
http://downloads.stevengould.org/cleanup/CleanUp40.exe

Here is the info page on it:
http://cleanup.stevengould.org/

Run it (Click Start --> All Programs --> "CleanUp!" --> "CleanUp!"). A
dialog will appear. Click on the button labeled "CleanUp!".

Then reboot in safe mode and run HJT, then with anything else running
check to fix the following items:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E434D3C7-A673-4100-8140-79C020945017} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {53829F91-1B06-4DB9-B13E-812A986169F9} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501}
- C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll (file missing)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console -
{08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-1C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msjava.dll
(file missing)
O15 - ProtocolDefaults: 'http' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should
be Internet Zone (HKLM)
O16 - DPF: {140F03AE-0588-11D4-BD45-0050048A82BF} (eShare Web
Collaboration Class) -
http://63.166.193.103/netagent/objects/emagic.cab

Notes:
If you ARE NOT using the Spybots Home Page and Option Lock down
features in the Immunize section of Spybot, you must fix the following
items:
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

I suggest you to fix these items also, unless you are very related to them:
O15 - Trusted IP range: 206.161.125.149
O15 - Trusted IP range: 206.161.125.149 (HKLM)
The IP corresponds to Beyond The Network America, Inc.:
http://www.btnaccess.com/us/about/
http://www.whois.sc/206.161.125.149

Regarding the PowerReg Scheduler, after fixing you must use the search
tool of Windows to find and delete all folders and files related to
it; search for powerreg. Do this without leaving Safe Mode; for
additional reference see the following page:
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/pest.aspx?id=453078189

Info related to Alcxmntr.exe:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/Alcxmntr.exe-245.html
and
http://www.tasklist.org/task_Alcxmntr_exe_166.html

Dele the file C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE

Reboot normally and check your computer behaviour, then please create
a new Hijackthis log and post it as a request of a clarification to
confirm the results. If you find something abnormal with your PC
please add a description of what is happening to the post, it will be
helpful.

I hope that this helps you. Note that this answer is not considered
ended yet, so please use the clarification feature to request further
assistance related to this question and answer if you need it.

Thank you so much for your help! I "fixed" you recommended using HJT.
When I did the search for powerreg related files to delete there was
only one ... does that sound right? I also successfully (I think)
removed ALCXMNTR.EXE.

Below is the new HJT results. A couple of the things you recommended
removing are still there.

Hi!!

Yupi!! It looks clean now (how is your computer working?).

Regarding to the items:
O15 - Trusted IP range: 206.161.125.149
O15 - Trusted IP range: 206.161.125.149 (HKLM)

Did you leave them in your PC? Do you know Beyond The Network America, Inc.:
http://www.btnaccess.com/us/about/

Another way to remove them, if HJT is not capable to do so, is going
to Internet Options --> On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click
Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click the security zone where you
want to remove the sites: Trusted sites
Click the Sites button.
In the Web sites box, click the name of the Web site you want to remove.
Click the Remove button, and then click OK twice.

It is also a good idea to change the security level of the Trusted
zone to medium at least. See the following page for additional
references:
"Working with Internet Explorer 6 Security Settings":
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/security/settings.mspx

I am very glad to see your HJT log clean.
