Question ID: 546079
How many potentiometers (linear) are used in an automobile and where
are these potentiometers used? A potentiometer is a device that
measures linear movement, and thus can be used for various automotive
applications, including: accelerator pedal position sensor, window
position, seat movement, mirror controls, etc. etc. Obviously, the
number of potentiometers would vary from vehicle to vehicle. For
instance, a Lexus LS may have more potentiometers than a Toyota
Corolla. I am looking for a method to determine the exact number and
type of potentiometers in many different vehicles.
