I am willing to pay **BIG** bucks if you can find out some indepth
information about the following statue which stands in Wheaton, MD To
get the money you must be able to provide me a lot of information
about this statue. Here is what I already know about the statue.

Wheaton, Maryland - Easter Island Head
The owner of the gas station where this attraction sits was from that
area of the world. The Easter Island Head was used on a float for the
Wheaton High School home coming parade sponsored by the owner (6 or 7
years ago). After the parade was over the owner placed the figure on
his property for all to see. [Jen, 11/23/2000]

Wheaton, Maryland - Easter Island Head
On Randolph Road just East of Georgia Avenue (State Route 97),
directly across from the Montgomery County Police Station, there is a
chicken-wire and plaster replica of one of the famous Easter Island
giant heads standing alongside the road at a small no-name brand gas
station. Painted grey, he's surrounded by a set of whitewashed
curbstones and a neatly trimmed patch of flowers. What he's doing
there, I don't know. But if you've got cash, it's the cheapest gas
you'll find in Montgomery County. [Laura Appelbaum, 08/27/2000]

Yes !!!! That is 1000% correct. Just a thought, maybe if you are in
the area you could go to it, and do some investigating. Otherwise, my
offer still stands.

Unfortnately, I'm located a little bit too far away from that part of
Maryland. But maybe one of my New England-based colleagues will be
able to do some research.
