According to siamindia.com Total Two Wheelers sold in 2003-04 were 5365013.

Following is the list of top 9 motorcycle companies of India:


1. HERO HONDA MOTORS LTD. (http://www.herohonda.com/)
    Hero Honda, the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer, sold 2.62
million motorcycles in 2004-05. Its plants are located at Dharuhera
and Gurgaon. Turnover amounted to Rs 75.6 bn in 2004-05.

2. BAJAJ AUTO LTD.(http://www.herohonda.com/)
    India's 2nd largest two/three-wheeler manufacturer (2004-05
income: Rs 67.3 bn) and the world's third largest in terms of volumes.
Bajaj Auto sold 1.83 million two-wheelers and three-wheelers in
2004-05. Bajaj Auto's three plants are located at Akurdi (Pune), Waluj
(Aurangabad, Maharashtra) and Chakan (Dist. Pune).


3. TVS MOTOR COMPANY LTD. (http://www.tvsmotor.co.in/)
TVS Motor Co. recorded a turnover of Rs 29.6 bn and sold 1.17 million
two-wheelers in 2004-05.

4. YAMAHA MOTOR INDIA PVT. LTD.
    Yamaha Motor India sold 330 000 motorcycles during 2002-03
including 38 500 bikes that were exported to 52 countries.

5. LML LTD. (http://www.lmlindia.com/)
    LML sold 172,000 two-wheelers in 2001-2002. LML manufactures
lifestyle motorcycles (150 cc), motorcycles (110 to 125 cc) and
scooters (150 cc).

6. KINETIC ENGINEERING LTD. (http://www.kineticindia.com/comp_kel.asp)
    Kinetic Engineering produced 161,000 two-wheelers in 1998-99. KEL
has launched the first Hyosung Motors GF series (125/150 cc) of
motorcycles.

7. ROYAL ENFIELD MOTORS LTD. (http://www.royalenfield.com/)
    Manufacturer of the legendary "Bullet" motorcycles. The Indian
Police and defence forces use "Bullet" motorcycles. Royal Enfield sold
around 30 000 motorcycles during 2004-05. Royal Enfield operates two
factories located at Chennai and Jaipur.


8. MAHARASHTRA SCOOTERS LTD.
    MSL sold over 153,000 scooters in 1998-99.

9. KERALA AUTOMOBILES LTD.
    KAL produced 7240 three-wheelers in 1999-00.
