Greetings Roadtrip2005,
I just spoke with Darrin (or Darin, I did not ask for correct
spelling) from the American Airlines Human Resources department, and
he said that American Airlines flight employees do *not* receive
reimbursement for parking fees although they *do* receive parking
discounts by presenting their AA badges to airport parking attendants.
Darrin stated that for *business* travelers (AA employees traveling
for company business purposes), there is reimbursement of travel
expenses as with any company's business travel, but regular airline
employees must pay for parking.
For local workers, such as Ticket Agents, Darrin explained that they
must also pay for parking but that it is usually discounted.
PHONE STRATEGY: I first phoned AA Nexos at 817-967-1804, and was
given another phone number. I then phoned 817.963.1234 and ran
through the menus until I reached the Employee Questions option. When
connecte, I was asked for my AA ID# and explained that I was not an
employee, that I just had a question about reimbursement of
travel/parking expenses for AA employees. I explained that I might be
interested in becaoming a flight attendant for AA, and I wondered if
AA employes had to pay parking expenses, and if they were reimbursed.
Darrin them gave me the info I posted above.
Thank you for asking this interesting question!
Best regards,

Thanks for the answer and you have been paid. I still need more info
and I am not familiar enought with how to use google answers
efficiently yet.
I have been working with the HR department and they are not clear on
what happens all the time, that is why they hired me to find out what
really happens.
Can you find out what they do at these 12 airport locations LAX, LGA,
JFK, BOS, ORD, MIA, SFO, MSP, STL, PDI, PBX, PHL.
I do not know how to contact the ticket agents at the check in line or
the ramp rats that work luggage etc.

Usually, when a question is answered as posted, the customer will
choose to post additional questions separately. In the case of these
airports you mention, I'm not sure how I could approach finding the
employees of which you speak without access to AA human resources
documents. Since you are working directly with American Airlines
Human Resources on this matter, perhaps you could request the employee
files of people working at those airports. Unfortunately, you
wouldn't be able to share their names or contact information in a
Google Answers question because that would violate the privacy TOS.
I wish I could offer a simpler solution, but your internal access to
American Airlines HR department trumps any public access to employee
documents that I would have. However, you might consider posting new
questions, perhaps four total containing queries for three airports
apiece. That way more Researchers could assist you at one time, if
they are privy to the employees' records to which I have no access.
