Hello docbillyb-ga,

I'm somewhat familiar with the field of EEOC complaints and I've done
some preliminary research on your question. I think it's unanswerable
as you have it formulated ? although I think it would be a safe bet to
say that ?all? is the answer.

Please clarify the context of your question and what exactly you?re
looking for. Race and gender discrimination is prohibited by Title VII
of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Pub. L. 88-352). Are you interested
in the number of race and gender EEOC complaints since the passage of
the law? These statistics might be available. My preliminary search
found the statistics for 1992 to 2004.

You asked for how many of the Fortune 500 have had formal
charges/complaints filed based on race or sex. What period of time are
you interested in? Companies come and go from the Fortune 500 list.
How do you want to deal with counting them? Complaints are frequently
settled at early stages and part of the complaint process and part of
the resolution agreement is that neither side talkes about it.

Please provide additional information about the scope and purpose of
your question so that we can determine what we?re really looking for
and whether your question is answerable.

I look forward to your clarification.

I did not clarify. Thanks. Two parts. Find the list. Any year
between 2000 and 2004. Let's say you have the 2001 list of Fortune
500. My question is how many of them have a complaint filed where
there is public record of the complaint. You can use EEOC. To keep
this workable, use since 1990 as the beginning year. In other words,
how many firms in the 2001 Fortune 500 had race or gender
discrimination complaints filed with EEOC since 1990?
