I am writing a paper on the ?Gyrocompass?. This is for a university
course in Dynamics (physics dynamics). I need to find similar papers.
The main point of the research paper is on how to derive the equations
for the workings of a gyrocompass.

Hi engieer11-ga,

The following paper by Alonao Kelly in 1994 may answer your question:
http://www.frc.ri.cmu.edu/~alonzo/pubs/reports/ps_files/nav.ps

Note that the pages are in reverse order. The derivation of the
equations of motion for the gyrocompass, starting from Euler's
equation, can be found on page 77 (page 31 if you print them in
order).

Let me know if this is what you're looking for and I'll post this
along with some other references.

Best,
       -welte-ga

Thank you for your time. I am looking for something more specific. The
file you sent me has the equations for the Gyrocompass; I need the
steps of deriving them. Do you have anything else? Thanks,
