Monitor will not activate when computer is turn on

I assume you've done the obvious like checking the cable 
connection to the back of the PC, and verifying that the
power is plugged in. Have you checked the cable from the
connector at the back of the PC to the motherboard?

Were there any changes made preliminary to this behavior?
What has happened since the last time you saw the monitor
working?
