Could someone please tell me who wrote this??? I have no clue. I found it in a book--no author cited. Could it be a song lyric? T'is a puzzlement! Thanks. "Christmas, like a lover, says goodbye--or doesn't and just leaves. Wondering why you're alone your cries break through the air like cracking ice under your own feet as Sobbing saxaphones play, "I'll be home for Christmas." Melancholy engulfs my mind in a fragmented purple abyss of time stretching on forever, Wrenches my heart, wrings out the last drops of joy. Peace has fled and Santa Claus is all that's left that makes any sense." | |
