This question is related to my previous question here:
http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=546564 , but I am
posting it separately as it?s essentially a different topic and would
add too much to the scope of the original to include it there.

As I mentioned in the referenced question, my family is trying to
locate information on three generations of ancestors from 18th century
Colonial Virginia. My sister has already done a great deal of research
on the subject, during the course of which she has compiled a list of
books and documents she believes may have pertinent information.
However, she has not been able to locate these items despite extensive
searching, being on waiting lists of booksellers, etc.

So I provide this list in hopes a Researcher or someone else may
recognize something and be able to offer assistance. I would consider
the question fully answered if I receive

   1) Links and/or other information to purchase at least ONE of the
thirteen items listed, and/or;
   2) Contact information for a source with access to at least ONE of
the listed books and/or documents, who has confirmed willingness to
copy the applicable pages/sections and scan/photocopy and email/snail mail them
to us, together with information on the fee for such service.

I will also be happy to tip $10 for EACH additional item that may be
located as outlined above.

Here are the books/documents we?re seeking:

1. Copy of John and Rachael Rogers' will, mentioning daughter Lucy and
son George, and giving George 40 acres on the branches of Buck
Mountain Crin recorded 26 Aug 1752 Louisa Co., VA Deeds.

2. "History of Caroline Co., VA" by Marshall Wingfield, pp. 461-465.

3. "Genealogy of Kentucky Families," pp. 260, 273, Filson Lib copies.

4. "Genealogy of Kentucky Families," Filson Club Quarterly, pp. 254-275

5. Filson Club History Quarterly, Vol. 14, No. 3, July1940

6. "Rogers, Skelton, and Allied Families," by Helen Rogers Skelton &
Clarence C. Skelton

7. "Rogers Family History," by J. Montgomery Seaver

8. "Giles Rogers, Pioneer-Settler New Kent: King and Queen County,
VA,? by R.W. Rogers

9. "History of Rogers Families in VA 1680-1834," by R.W. Rogers

10. "VA County Records," p 57

11. "The Royal Descent of John Rogers," from the British Museum by John Underwood

12. "Kith and Kin," by Mrs. John Sampson

13. Records of John Rogers being buried near his wife and father,
Giles, outside the walls of Old Park Church, King & Queen Co., VA

Please don't hesitate to ask if I can add any clarification that might
make the search any easier. Thank you.

Still hopefully,
Byrd-ga

Dear Byrd,

I have located three of the books from your list in the catalogue of
the Library of Congress; the LoC offers to make photocopies of books
not any longer protected by copyright restrictions. As I am not very
familiar with the US copyright laws, I can't say for sure if they will
make photocopies of these books. Their general policy is:
"Virtually all collections are available for duplication. Restrictions
on availability for duplication are based on physical conditions of
the materials, copyright limitations, and legal restrictions imposed
on particular collections."

Please see their website for details:
http://www.loc.gov/preserv/pds/

And here is the list of books in the Library of Congress:

Dear Scriptor,

YES, this information is of use, and we are happy to accept it as the
answer to this question. Please post it in the answer box. As soon as
you do, as I said, we'll be adding a tip for each of the other two
sources you found. We were *not* aware of the duplication services
offered by the Library of Congress, and it looks very promising for
us, so we're very happy to have that information. As soon as you post
the answer then, I'm going to go ahead and close out the question for
now, pending our investigation of these materials. We'd like to check
these out first before getting more.

Thank you very much for your help!!

Warmest wishes,
Byrd

Dear Scriptor,

An outstanding job - and fast too! Despite all our research, we did
not know about the duplication services offered by the LoC, nor had
realized that these volumes were in their collection. Hats off to an
exceptional colleague! Thanks to you we can now continue our
searching.

Very best wishes,
Byrd
