Ralph C. Sutro Company provided mortages in the 1940's-1960's. I need
information about the company since then. Specifically, is it still
in existance? Was it bought up? Who is the archivist for the
company? Any contact information for the company?

I have found that Ralph C. Sutro Company became part of a second
company, which in turn became part of a third company. However, the
information gets murky after that -- the third company sold the
mortgage components of its business to more than one company. I'm not
sure yet what happened after that.

Would the information I've sketched so far be sufficient for an
answer? If not, what else would you need?

Thanks for your response. I have some records are not readable. My
goal is to locate the archivist and see if a better copy is available.
To do that I probably need addresses and contact information from the
companies that Ralph C. Sutro was sold to. The question is well
answered if I can contact someone who has the old records or and
specifically tell me what happened to the records from the 1960's.
