I have a Toshiba 6 Disc CD-Changer (model TX-963) that does not eject
the magazine. I have had it apart and cannot find the reason. I can
manually eject it by pressing the correct lever. I think a gear is
jammed or something just by looking at it. I do not want to force it
to hard for fear of stripping the plastic gears. Thank you. |

Hi there,
Are you looking for instructions on how to repair the changer,
warranty information, or a place to take it for repair?
How long have you had the unit and is it still under warranty?
Where are you located? (If looking for a place to repair it)
Thanks,

Yes, I am trying to figure out how to repair it. It is out of warranty
and would cost too much to fix it. Thank you.

Hi again,
I would have to agree with Missy's comment below on this one...there
is considerable risk involved in attempting to repair any electronic
device on your own. If you want a reasonably priced repair shop just
add another question clarification to indicate that, and include your
location.
Generally manufacturers don't intend for this types of devices to be
fixed by the customers themselves so it would be difficult to find any
instructions from a worthy source.

I figured that this changer didn't work as it is, so I was just going
to mess with it, get something unstuck, and I can install it.
Otherwise I was just going to throw it in the trash. The only way I
would take it to a repair shop is if it is VERY reasonable. I hope
this clears things up.

Hello, leave it to my grandpa to fix it. Upon further investigation,
he found a piece of rubber (To absorb shock) had dislodged and found
its way under the carriage that switches disc. He removed it and
succesfully ejected the magazine from the changer. Sorry y'all.
