Trying to update kernel patch from 105181-15 to 105181-39 (also tried
incrementing via 105181-17 which also failed) and after the update
fails I get the following error (/var/sadm/patch/105181-39/log):

This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and
version of a package which is already installed. This installation
will attempt to overwrite this package.

/usr/admin/amadeus/admin/patches/105181-39/SUNWarc/install/checkinstall:

I've tried updating the patching utilities in the hopes there was an
unmentioned requirement, but this patch failed as well (with a similar
log report).

The command I've used is: patchadd 105181-39, although I've also tried
using the installpatch script included in the patch update too.
