I'm a recent switcher from Windows to Mac OS X Tiger. Although I've
found equivelant applications for most of my tasks, I'm stumped in
trying to find a Mac program that can check web pages and HIGHLIGHT
what's changed on those web pages. The program I used on the PC for
this was called WebSite-Watcher and you can read about it at
http://aignes.com/

The specific functionality I need in a Mac app is that it should be
able to cache the web page and highlight (as the WebSite-Watcher
program does) what has changed on that page. I use it to monitor web
sites that do not offer a RSS feed.

I need someone to help me find such a program. It can be freeware,
shareware, or commercial, but that highlighting functionality is
critical.

Hi rservice,

Are either of these suitable?

2) "Smart Marks make Surftron more useful than other web applications.
Using Smart Marks you can know whenever your favorite websites have
new content, from when you last visited them, and when they contain
Keywords, which you specify. If your favorite website has something
new and contains a Keyword, Surftron will let you know."

Surftron will run as a demo for 30 days before requiring a
registration key. The demo is fully functional except that it is
limited to:

Cost
A single Surftron registration key costs $19.95 USD.

Hi Hummer... I'm not able to download Surftron... it returns an error
(404) when trying to process the download. Were you able to get it to
download?

Hmm, that's too bad, rservice. Perhaps the site is just down
temporarily. I don't have a Mac so I didn't try to download it, but I
just tried and it didn't work for me either. Hopefully it will later!

Did you look at this link? You may be able to tell if it's worth pursuing.

Hi sorry about the delay getting back to you. I can't find any
download of Surftron anywhere... I'm guess it got pulled. And I've
been running the Subscriber program now since you pointed it to me,
but it doesn't have any highlighting feature. It just indicates
there's been some kind of change, but won't say where. :( Sorry...
