Where can I find "free" public information about corporations and/or
businesses? I need addresses and phone numbers of all locations
including subsidiaries.

Have you tried your public library? They might be the best source of
free information.

No. That sounds silly since the library is such an obvious answer but
I was really hoping for something online that I could easily access
(lazy you say)from anywhere with my computer but in reality, the need
for this information does not always come when access to a library is
close at hand. If the information cannot be free, is there something
in the under $10 range per request?

Many public libraries DO have online databases. What's even better,
library members can often access the databases from home! That's not
lazy...that's the way information should be delivered.

Go ask your library what they have.
