While in Scotland recently, I found that all my Scottish family
members subscribed to an old wine society there called, well, "The
Wine Society" (www.thewinesociety.com). This is an old organization
(1874) that sells shares (each shareholder alotted one share) in the
organization which is a wine cooperative. They import fine wines from
around the world, some under their own label, and sell them to their
members at very competitive rates, shipping them whereever they like.
Whats more, upon the death of each member, their share and its
dividend is paid in full. In short, this is perfect. Is there anything
like this available to Americans?
