Question ID: 548640
I am looking for any news article on three suspects identified by the
United States Postal Service as having in their possession mail
belonging to 2,000 people. I live in California. Two of the suspects
are Gregg Johnson and Anthony Joaquin Valdez. The third suspect is a
woman and I forgot her name. I am trying to figure out how the hell
they managed to get mail belonging to 2,000 people.

Where and when did you read or hear this story? Are you sure about
the names? Do you recall anything else about the story?

I learned about the story from a letter my neighbor received from the
U.S.P.S. She showed me the letter. I share a mail box with two other
families. One of the people received a letter from the U.S.P.S.
naming these three as suspects, and that these three had her mail as
well as mail from 2,000 other people.

The letter said nothing else about these three or how they got the mail.

You may want to contact the USPS at a number you find in the phone
book to verify if this is true. Sounds like a hoax to me. While the
USPS may notify you that there may have been issues with your mail,
they would not name their suspects.

You may also want to discuss this with your local postmaster since
he/she could also look up that information for you on a computer
database or could find the newsletter that you mention.
