I'm interested in learning about the size and growth (historical,
current, and projected) of the Christian media/entertainment market in
the U.S. I am focusing in particular on music, video games, books, and
TV/radio programming tailored to the Christian market. Given that the
market has changed significantly in recent years (spurred in part by
the success of "Passion", the controversy surrounding Janet Jackson,
etc.), I'd prefer to look at data that is no more than a year old.

I've seen plenty of anecdotal information on these topics, but I've
found it more difficult to find reliable data sets. For instance, many
websites cite numbers from a study conducted by the Christian
Booksellers' Association, but I haven't been able to locate the actual
study itself.

Note that I'm not necessarily looking for comprehensive information;
I'd greatly appreciate insights into any or all of the verticals
mentioned above. So if you find information specific to Christian
video games, for example, that would still be helpful. But I'm
generally looking for time series of data, as opposed to point
estimates.

Thanks in advance!

PS- Given that the religious market in the U.S. is predominantly
Christian, I think it's generally safe to think of "religious" as a
euphemism for "Christian" when considering market data.

Hi!

I don't have the full study of the Christian Bookseller's Association
but I was able to find the size of the Christian industry for the
following years:

2000
2002
2004

These numbers were given by the Christian Bookseller's Association as
well. Would the general size of the industry within the dates
mentioned be enough as an answer?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't that consider that sufficient because I'm
looking for more detail (e.g. how does the market break down amongst
the verticals?) and a more robust time series (e.g. 1995-2004).

Thanks anyway!
